Here are the answers to all the questions you may have... If you have more, get in contact with us, we would love to hear from you!
Will I meet you before my dog goes on their first adventure? Yes, before your dog goes on their first adventure I will arrange a time to come and meet you and your dog. This gives us the opportunity to become familiar with your dog so that they are happy to see us when we arrive to pick them up and it gives you the opportunity to ask any other questions you may have.
Do I need to drop my dog off somewhere? No, we will come and pick you dog up from your home or work and transport them in our comfortable and spacious dog trailer and vehicle. All dogs are separated while traveling to ensure a safe journey to and from adventures.
Will my dog get dirty? On an Adventure Pack Walk, Yes, your dog will most likely have a great time rolling in mud, jumping in puddles and enjoying some dirty play time. However if you dog is not that way inclined, they have the option of staying clean if they choose. But we will not guarantee that your dog chooses this option when they see the other dogs having fun in the mud. Structured Pack Walks are a cleaner option, with no puddles or mud to play in. How big are the packs? The packs are made up of 4-8 dogs. We work hard to keep dogs with like minded energy levels together to ensure everyone has a great time, no matter what personality they have.
My dog doesn't have good recall, does that matter? No, it doesn't matter if your dog doesn't have great recall.
My dog can be nervous when first meeting dogs, is this a problem? We are experienced with all breeds and personality types, if your dog takes its time to warm up and get comfortable in the group, we will work hard to ensure they are given plenty of space and time so that they are not overwhelmed. We are sure they will still love their adventure!
My dog is aggressive around other dogs, can they still go on an adventure? No, if your dog shows aggression when it is around other dogs they would be better off going for an individual walk, not a pack walk. This doesn't mean we can't help, talk to us about our options to help them become comfortable in a group setting.
How long will my dog be away from home? Your dog will be away from home for up to 5 hours depending on travel and bathing times(if applicable).
What time will my dog get picked up or dropped off? This will depend on whether they are joining us for a morning or afternoon adventure. Pick up and drop off times are between 8:00am-5:30pm.
Can my dog get a bath before it comes home? Yes, we would love to pamper your dog and give them a bath and towel dry before we return them home.
How do I pay? You can pay us cash on pick up or drop off, or we will send you an invoice that can be paid online via internet banking.
Do you take all breeds and ages? Yes we take all breeds, dogs are judged on their temperament and actions, not on their breed. Dogs of any age are welcome to join us for adventures, no one should have to miss out!
I have more than one dog, can you just take one for an adventure? Yes, If you have multiple dogs at home, we are happy to just pick up one of them for an adventure.
What does my dog need to wear for their adventure? We require all dogs to be wearing their council tag, this can be on a collar or harness. Your dog is welcome to join us on the walk wearing any collar or harness that you usually use with the exception of a metal slip collar as these can fall off when fun is being had, and if this happens we are unlikely to be able to find it. If you want your dog to wear a jacket on an adventure that is no problem, but bare in mind that it may not come home clean.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated to come on an adventure? Yes, we require all dogs to be up to date with their Parvovirus vaccinations (last vaccination within 3 years). We would also recommend kennel cough, but only if you and your vet feel that this is right for you.
My dog is entire, can they still come on an adventure? Yes entire dogs are welcome on our adventures, however we won't take a female while they are in heat.
